There are plenty of ways you can make money without leaving your home. Some "make money from home" jobs involve driving to the post office, like when you are selling stuff on Ebay. Other work at home jobs involve attending meetings and dropping merchandise off at people's houses, like when you sell Avon or Herbalife products.
If you want a work at home job where you are truly working at home, without needing to leave your house, here are 5 options to think about.

1. Freelance Writing

Writing, especially on the internet, is the most obvious work at home job. Write for websites, like Associated Content or Constant Content and get paid per article. Write a blog, or several blogs. Make money through advertising or Adsense on your blogs. Write novels or other books, including ebooks. Find publishers where you can make your submissions online, to avoid having to mail your work from the post office.

2. Affiliate Marketing

Sell other people's products on the internet, and get money for each sale or referral you make. Many companies on the internet now have affiliate programs, where you do the advertising for them, and make money when your efforts result in sales. Join affiliate programs for paid membership sites, and get recurring commissions every month for extra profit without the extra effort. 3. Babysitting
